this blog will go into HIATUS mode from today[29/07/07] onwards till whenever the owner feels like blogging again....

which is most probably after O levels....

anyway he wanted me to say that...
its day 3 and i m feeling bored....
if not why do u think i m blogging now...

heritage play was yesterday...
think we did well...
though nat didnt came at the very last minute...
i was bro nicholas and gabriel was brother gabriel...
we sang "if we hold on together" together with hansel(delasalle)


so im as usual in charge of food together with gabriel...
though it is slacker this time round
since every meal is pre packed....
so i m only like busy during meal times...
rather free at the other times....
but somehow i still feel v tired...
maybe it the aftermath of RCIY

andd i m too lazy to wake up for morning run...
so that means i sleep in late...
even still i m tired....


ok i shallside track a little bit....
the weekends were spent at Choice retreat house in jurong for RCIY
i enjoyed myself totally....
many reflections and sharing sessions...
games were awesome too....
meals were always very satisified ...
and affirmations wre hellalot...lol
most importantly i m closer to god now...

anyway back to LLTC
this time the participants (as usual) have to go through walk the talk and they walk from sji to st pats'
but this time round without their bags except only the heaviest n bulkiest one..
so i was one of the portals that transffered ALL 160 bags from sji to st pats...
up the bus down the bus....
was like hell la...

slept through action time...
didnt go for dragon boat or ropes course...
i know i m slack...
its just me...LOL

anyway i m contemplating whether i should go on the journey tomorrow...
considering the fact that i havent really been went for journey...
and this will be my third LLTC...
its time i should go for one...

anyway i think i shall stop blogging for now...
quite tired liao....

what a saturday!

so it started off with a stayover at gabriel's house....
we were supposed to study...
cos its a tuition/study stayover every friday....
but we ended up playing monopoly and dint even touch any books....
SJI I interviews were on the sat morning....
three different time:
gabriel 9.15am
Qw 11.15am
Me: 12.30am

and i found out that i ws the last on the list....
its was random selection(timing)
and i was randomly put to last...
how WONDERFUL???
esp when the panel have heard like a whole bunch of ppl giving ans to the SAME questions....
AWESOME.....

i went early together with Qw....
saw a guy(i shall not mention names)
but he's a golfer from SJI...
quite obvious lol...
he went for interview in uniform and AH PEH's slippers...
O.O
i mean u either come in full uniform or outside clothes...
u come in uniform at least wear a pair of shoes....
he wore those leather ah peh's slippers....
and guess what he said...
my mom FORCED me too...

well i didnt believe the part bout his mum...
hope he kana bro. michael and FAIL the interview....

anyway interview was i think rathe ok ....
questions asked:

and bla bla bla....
cant reallly remember...
oh ya ....
btw i was interviewed by Bro. michael,john under wood and another guy(both the latters are board of girectors or governors)
i tried to act very pro and calm..
hope i pulled it off...
anyway i was assured by the last sentence he spoke....
"very well done,thank you."
hope it wasnt just formality and false hopes...
results out soon...
hope for the best....

anyway after that was lunch at far east...
we alighted the bus and was greeted with a crowd and a commotion just outside bk...
u know where the stone tables and benches are....
apparantly a middle-aged woman was crying and rolling on the floor....
creating alot of noise and attention....
security guards were also present...
and nosey parkers stopped in their tracks to see what's happening...
i dont know the details...
but with our uber inference skills....
we concluded that it was a china woman suffering a nervous breakdown...
a man probably cheated either her feelings or her money maybe both....
cos her daughter(we assumed) was there also crying....
and they both look cheena....
she seemed very very agitated...
think the sum of money is huge....
HEARTLESS MAN....
and in the middle of orchard road is a really stupid place to dump someone....

after that was RCIY in st. ignatius(gabriel's church)
met very nice ppl in church...
thats the reason i m considering to turn catholic...
cos alot of the ppl in churh are like so friendly....
not saying that being a catholic makes u friendly....
i have met alot of ppl whom are not catholics but alos v friendly...
its just that i have met more friendly catholics than ya....
and LENNON the slacker didnt go... :P

when i came up the escalator....

at first i thought he wanted just to ask for directions...
but he didnt....
when he came close...
I could smell a very strong liquor/beer smell....
he told he didnt have money and hadnt eaten for days....
and wanted me to give him some money....
i rejected him immediately....
u can afford to buy beer but no money to eat....
YEA RIGHT.....
i TOTALLY BELIEVE U and WILL SYMPATHIZE....
what a stupid drunkard....
and dont i look like a student to u ....

Lets see....
many things have happened and i dint have the time to blog so ya....
not in chronological order.....

Bloody tuesday...
I donated blood for the very FIRST time on bloody tuesday....
turnout was ok...not very big...
and we were given anaesthetic....
so whooshhh LOL
no anaesthetic WILL DIE lor...
the needle is like so much thicker than the norm one...
it was quite a PAINLESS procedure....
THANKS TO the anaesthetic....
though most of the pain came from the anaesthetic needle....
despite being pocked 4 times(i didnt feel it....i was told)
i m still so gonna do it the next bloody tuesday in sept...
all u ppl even if u r not from SJI u cans till come and donate blood...
all are welcome.... :)
and all those who will turn 16 b4 sept u BETTER come and donate... lol...jking... :P

SJI I entrance test.
guessed it was ok..
waititng for results now...
didnt expect so many ppl applied...
kinda good in a way cos i know most of them....
but this means fiercer competition :(
saw some ppl that i dont reallly like applying too...
shhhh...i shall not mention names...

anyway we had 3 tests...
Math was all MCQ ....
the first part was FREAKIN easy....
then it was ok...

English was a piece of essay...

many wrote a geog essay....
talking about global warming and sorts....
I took a different approach or maybe a wrong one...
who knows???
i wrote kind of a theory of knowledge paper...
i shant go into details.....

General intelligence(aptitude test)
the paper was weird...
since i havent take this sort of paper b4....
some of the pattern questions was a little difficult for me....
hope i "tikam" correctly....

anyway after that was LLTC OT meeting at st pats
when calvin n I rushed there they were already starting rehearsal for heritage play....
rehearsal was ok...
oh and jeremy tan (our pianist for the play)
and nathalie( sister louise) were there too...
guessed we have advanced a little....
i m also in charge of the play...but i didnt do much....
amos did everything....
felt a little bad...
haizzz......

after that we went to town to celebrate hwaxiong's bday and aaron's confi....
they watched a movie and lan i think.....
i didnt....
i was shopping for my shoes in taka....
met alaistar and john paul......
was told that ian n eugene were studying in orchard library...
and i just found out that there is actually a NATIONAL LIBRARY
in the heart of orchard...at takashimaya....
call me slow or whatever u want...
anyway its quite a nice place....looks rather new....
maybe thats why i dint know :P LOL
So i gave "tuition" to the both of them....
did a little of Ian's hw too....lol...

after that was dinner at sakura...
international buffet.....
not very worth it i say....
variety was rather limited....
nevertheless i had my fill :)
but now i owe ppl $$$$ sianz....
its like a bottomless pit....

and of course results are back....
MYE results....
I would say i did welll....
considering i improved quite alot in the no. of As obtained....
and i studied most of the paers like 2 days b4...
percentage was cough cough...
due to A math and CHEM!!!!

Chinese: 82 A1
E math: 76 A1
Biology: 67 B3
Physics: 64 B4
Geog elect/ss: 74 A2
Chemistry: 31 F9

two F9s pulled my percentage down all the way....
so i m 23rd in class... with 62.something %
i could have easily get like 69% if i passed both of them....
haizzz...oh wellll.....
who could i blame but myself....
i slacked for A math....
didnt pay attention in class.....
and +++++ A math was the LAST paper.....
was tired and all of those....
i mean having been MUGGING for the past 1 and a half weeks...
and the thought of FINALLY the last paper....
made me slack...and resulted in not revising....but more of stoning..
Chem was EXPECTED....
i mean i dont like chem...
and i DONT understand it la....
u know when u dont like a subject u cant excel in it.....
i m sure alot of SJI boys would know this....

anyway English this time round was pure luck....
though a little more luck would be appreciated....
half a mark to my A1...
i guessed i wouldnt do well if there was wssay this time round....

Chinese was woah....
i finally got my 1st in level for a major exam...
and this time was the full paper..so ya...
but i have to share this glory with Qingwei....
stupid...LOL...
essay pulled me up lot...
to think i was still worried bout my esssay...
cos i was braindead halfway through....
hope O's would be just as well done....
expectations are like high...
and pressure is no doubt high too....
its like the only O paper that i m confident of an A1 so far....
oh well god bless me....

Emath was a dissapointment though i still got an A1..
i mean like more than half the cohort got distinction la...
u can see how easy the paper was....
yet i only managed to scrape through 75...
i was expecting 80plus...haizzz...
carelessness again....

Bio was ARRGGHHHH...
i could have gotten my A....
my theory paper was 71 an A2...
and after adding my pratical it went down to B3...
just like that i lost an A if not i could have gotten a whopping 5 As(v good for me la)
i have no idea why it pulled me down...
most of my class was pulled up bcos of prac....
haizz....guess i need to take prac seriously...

Physics was also a dissapointment....
lucky for prac...
this time round prac pulled me up to 64....
put in the most time for physics since it was the first paper...
not counting eng and chinese...

elect geog/ss

SS was a dissapointment....
they didnt accepted my purpose for the similarity question....
haizz....
i thought SS was really easy...
considering i actually have 10 mins left after finishing the paper....
i mean its like...its SS...
normally finishing it is already a problem...
and yet this time round...i had extra time left...
i failed the second essay...
cos i didnt study sri lanka...
hint was obvious...but we didnt get it....haizz...

Geog was a surprise....
41/50...woah...
i thought Geog would pull me down and SS up...
but it turned out the other way round...
mindmap was a total screw up....
just passed....
other sections were great...
anyway again half mark to A1..haizz...

well well L1R5 13....
Very good if compared to other terms...
joint highest in class but position 23rd....
so ironical....
well could have done better....
considering this time MYE was rather easy(except for Chem and A math)
despite the 2 F9s.....
this MYE is still a confidence booster for the other subs...
hope prelims wont hit us too badly....
i keep my fingers crossed....

I M BACK!!!!!

Its been SOOOOOOOOOO long since i have last updated..
sorry peeps....(esp. nicole i promised and here it is....thoug a "little" late :P)
So many things happened and i have lots to share....

anyway MYE is over....
phhhewww....
crazy hairsplitting mugging is over for the moment...
hope results are not too bad ....
PRAY for me....

and also i have decided....
and handed up the scholarship application for SJI (I)
waititng for their response...
i will probably only go if i m given one...
if not tooo ex..haha...

anyway now SJI is undergoing a SCARY phase...
only appplicable to sec 4s....
and its none other than
CHINESE INTENSIVE preparation
for the upcoming O level mother tongue at the end of may...
its driving us crazy....
i mean imagine when u normally only have 5 periods a WEEK of chinese
which = 5X50 mins=250 mins
and now its minimum 4 periods a DAY....
thats 4X50minsX5days....
1000 minutes a week...
its like freakin us out....
even me myself who likes chinese are like now getting tired of it...
haizz....

BUT we all know the school is doing this for US...
for our own good(sounds familiar)
the teachers are going through alot too...
esp the chinese teachers....
kudos to u alll....
i mean if not for this intensive prep thing...
a percentage of 99.3% pass in chinese results for O's
is um quite impossible for SJI....
so guys...hang on!!! its just 2 more weeks.....

anyway here are some updates...
the SJI guitar ensemble attained a SILVER standard in the SYF central judging competition....
and it was our very FIRST time participating...
i think its very commendable...dont u think so???

sports day is over and michael got 3rd overall....
****applause pls*** not last ok... :P
anyway what WAS unexpected is michael was actuallly 2nd place during the heats b4 the final day...
and on the actual day....
for the first half of the day we were FIRST!!!!!
yep FIRST....
unbelievable??? it sure was....
however we settled in third place eventually...
nvm good work MICHAEL HOUSE!
