Lennon and Daryl's bday "surprise" 27 oct Friday

A reunion after parting for like ummm...12 days..lol..
This was how much we missed each other since LLTC...


The party was suppoosed to be a surprise one for our two bday boys...but somehow it went haywire and they found out..then the plan changed and the surprise was kept...but then another smart guy gave it away....very smart...so in the end only daryl got a surprise....but nevertheless it was still a fun outing....

Arrived very early at the super ulu marina Mrt station...the end station of the red line....was half and hour early...so Lennon and I waited for the rest to turn up...one by one they turned up...so we took the shuttle bus(its actually a van) to the marina eating place....waited for the rest of the ppl to turn up as well as the other bday boy daryl....I think he was quite shock or something..when he saw the huge turnout...almost everyone from OT was there 20+ ppl..except those who went for ACE camp 1 and some others...So we started...they all went to get food...daryl asked me why i m not moving...I simply said.."just sit down and the food will come"..lol...true what...anyway i didnt eat much...surprisingly..i guessed i was too busy walking around kopeing food and fanning ppl...My strategy: walk around the four tables and kope food...In return i will fan them...lol...

So after everything it was time to cut the cake and open the presents...the present was very very nicely decorated and wrapped by domdom with layers of newspaper and fantastic drawing..layers(literally)...alot of layers...lol...so when they finally unwrapped the numerous layers of newspapers...a topman plastic bag was revealed..they got them a shirt from topman....anyway me and gabriel got Daryl a plant...a very interesting bean that has "happy birthday" engraved onto it...that will grow into a plant that has happy birthday on it...anyway lennon's present was shared with gab and kiantat..we got him a sperm soft toy..lol...and a badge that says "horny when wet"...lol...what a suitable present right..if alexstine got that present than it would be perfect.....

Anyway after that we went kite flying and soccer at the field opposite..ya in the night...haha...Fly kite in the night..thats what we did...anyway siyang's dad was damn pro...he got the kite damn high...believe me it was super high...we than wanted to go to wisma to have a drink as there was the midnight shopping thing going on there...but then in the end we didnt so we all took mrt home....

LLTC Part III

Day 3 last day

Guess we were all tired or something...we woke up late...if not for XY's call we will probably sleep till afternoon....lol...and they will all go hungry XD..se how important we are..just kidding....
i received the call and rushed down almost immediately while gabriel was dillydallying(actually not la)...breakfast was already there when i reached the canteen..and i think Bro. nick was expecting us or helping us jaga the food..felt a little bad..anyway greeted him he said morning in response and he left(i think).Since we were already late we had no time to waste anymore and we had to start packing and distributing almost immediatly as the participants were already churning in group by group...they also had their individual grp photos taken during breakfast...

So after that the participants went for their session at the heritage hall..while we the facils went back to the parmenie to rest and clean up...when we went up there were already many things happening in the chaotic parmenie...first its the prank calling...

Then there was also the char-kway-teowing session when everyone is being chased up and down...the founder of the club is none other than watashi Alexstine....the club is called THE CLUB....lol...almost everyone became members...those innocent ones too...I wont elaborate on the process of enrolling though...facils u all know the best huh...but i can tell u the chant/song/cheer they will perform in the process of enrolling

After that was the last meal we would be having as a whole camp....was down early as usual did the same things..after they finished...cleaned up...Me and gab went back to parmenie to rest (again) and get changed into school U for the closing and commissioning....We also took the 1 to 10 ah lian shot....











It was then time for the last part of the whole camp. The comissioning and closing of the camp...most of the participants cant wait to be home straightaway...I could stay there for a few more days man...Closing sure was beautiful...with all the music, singing,voices and everything....the participants also read out their PMS(personal mission statement) and was given their badge and officially becamea true Lasallian leader...




After saying goodbye countless times to the participants we had our debrief session in the heritage hall where we did a overall summary and reflection for the whole camp....I was quite quiet or rather too tired to speak...partly bcos i had my sleeping bag to hug and also i was used as a pillow by a few...anyway amos and jared and a few of st.pats like ashley were exceptionally vocal....dont ask me why...they like to tok?? lol....so after that was the party cum OT dinner...we had pizzas, garlic bread,soft drinks...ya and music...but the food was too little..i only managed to grab 1 slice of pizza and a few pieces of garlic bread..so we had a little surprise for our bday boy XY....2 birthday cakes and a birthday bash(literally)..lol...he was emrolled into THE CLUB by the means of CHAR KWAY TEOW...lol...what a birthday to remember...we also did the YMCA dance...and shao meng did hid thing again..this time was concert live form...with accompanying dancers in the background...lol...

SPS SJI LLTC 'B' 2006

LLTC B Part II

Day 2

The main sect together with the makan ppl got to sleep in later than all the other group facils...so shiok....poor group facils had to wake up at 5 to wake their groups up and go for morning run...they must have all been very tired..3 hrs of sleep only...We got 5 hrs....So woke up at 7 by the group facils who came back to parmernie to bathe...received a call from Xianyi(a.k.a XY ,the seX king) that the food is here and we rushed down...was again in lunch foam boxes..so job was much easier...just have to make sure the correct number of boxes(including those taking Vege) go to each table and drinks too ya...food was pathetic as in the amount given...I bet no one felt anything in their stomachs...if they felt something...it would most probably be the numerous cups of milo they took...LOL...full bcos of milo...and it was the first time that i found vegetarian food nicer than normal one..XD..for breakfast..the Veg ppl got damn nice food..quite filling too...So while breakfast was ongoing....phototaking was also ongoing...but we were not involved..:( as it is for the groups only...i want to be group facil next time round...but their job is damn shiong...

Anyway after that was JOURNEY...basically all the groups will be splitted into 3 main groups each assigned to a different place...like the toa payoh's 1 room flats...to do service work...and again i didnt go...had to stay in school to prepare for lunch...how sad i went for 2 LLTC's and I not once went on the JOURNEY...So we were basically the only ones left in the school and in the sect shop(Me,gab,lennon kenny and XY)...to kill time we watched youtube and lennon was watching some jap girl su***** octopus video which i so happen to be there too...(ya right)...we went back to the parmenie had the whole of it to us 2 ppl...bathed slack a while in the aircon then went back down to seX shop...here are some pictures of the JOURNEY the participants experienced...






So we served lunch....again bento boxes...food was erm like usual not that great...they came back at different times so gave out accordingly...those done with eating went back to their respective rooms to rest and charge up for the sessions later on...So after the last group finished and making sure the duty grp do their duty properly and the canteen "spick and span" we went to slack(again)...but this time round we were TOLD to SLACK...LOL...we were instructed to go back to the parmenie to rest so that we wont appear too tired in front of the participants(to put up an energetic front) though we still were...so i was a good boy( i always am..XD) and i followed their instructions...I slept...

Dinner Time!!! Plan worked out...not too bad...at least better than the previous one...I got help from some of the free facils like lennon,kenny,Si yang,Hwa xiong to distribute the food...it was a "one man show" as gabriel went along with the catholics for mass at holy fam near by...wanted to go but if i go no one would be in charge so i stayed back...but lucky for the help of them...anyway so briefed them on the proceedure and the amount to give each person...gave them gloves....set up trash bags at different location for the paprticipants and dinner began...So I gave a "speech" to the whole camp and briefed them how dinner would be today...and what should they do...bla bla.....And the serving of food began....i was in charge of giving out rice....got some help from Ricardo later on...the food was quite yummy....but there werent enough for second-s..how sad..actually there were extras but then probably only less than 10 will get second-s so to be fair and save trouble i decide not to have second-s...partly due to the fact that if they are still hungry there will be supper later-on...Pictures taken during dinner...

After dinner was Solidarity Lasalliana in the heritage hall...I would say this is the FIRST official session i have together with the whole camp....It is sort of a reflection where we eat different kinds of food to help us reflect the sweetness,bitterness,sourness,plainness of life....things we ate...lime,rock sugar,bitter gourd,plain rice cake and water...there were alot of nice songs in this session too....alot of pictures and clips that are very reflective too....pictures of sol lasallaina...

After that something happened...that landed us in some sort of punishment...i dont know who but someone initiated a taupok for alexstine and it was happening behind the canteen while the participants were still in the canteen...I dont know what came over me..i joined in..I normally dont...i guess i was high..due to the milo??? excessive milo disorder??? Anyway alexstine was pinned onto a table...and when i saw that i ran and pounced onto him...and taupokked him then others continued...

When it was over and the facils was about to eat alexstine suddenly told us to fall in outside the canteen in 3 neat rows...at first we took it as a joke and laughed..i mean cant really blame us what..the alexstine we know personally is like a joker and a funny guy who isnt serious..and u will not expect this kind of ppl to get angry especially when he was enjoying it(can be seen from the photo) and was still smiling seconds ago....he then repeated his word seriously and sternly and we know we had to obey it and follow...as all the participants were enjoying "the show"... we were then led to the courtyard in the dark and we were given a lecture i would call it more of a talk...we then did 20 pushups as punishment and went back to the canteen....we realised we were wrong..as it is not right to carry this type of activity when the participants are present and when we didnt obey his orders and actually laughed in response...actually undermines the impression of the facils in the participant...which is not a good thing at all..as they might just not listen to us anymore and do not show us resepct and the camp will then not be able to function properly....luckily this didnt happen...

After cleaning up was OT meeting in the seX shop...where we had a eat and talk session....the session was accompanied by alot of chips and crackers...and i m proud to say i didnt touch any...After meeting we stayed back(lennon,kenny,gabriel and me) to listen/share ghost stories with XY and Alexstine....was very freaky lar...my hairs are all standing...then we had to walk back to parmenie which is even scarier....its very contradictive...i mean st.pats is probably one of the most holy place u can find in Singapore...there is the brother's residence...so many brothers stay there then there is also a chapel....by right u should feel very "safe"...but then u feel the creeps...and its rumored to be haunted...wth right...anyway went back to parmenie showered and was entertained....lol...by shaomeng before we went to sleep...You can see it for urself...seriously i take my hat off to him man....

Anyway after that we were still quite freaked out bcos of all the ghost stories....kenny and lennon were the most...so we slept very close together...like 4 ppl in 2 mattresses...lol...i guessed ppl would be wondering whats going on..lol...

LLTC 'B' 13-15 oct 2006 Part I


BORING......
That will be the reply you will get if u ask most of the participants.....But honestly...If i would be in their shoes i would probably find the camp boring too....its like I mean all lectures and very little play...but i hope they would understand...as LLTC B is an extra camp that is especially run for the benefit of those who cant attend LLTC A due to whatever reasons be it personal or because of Sports season....the original is a 5 day camp and now it is shortened to a 3 day camp so due to the time constraint and evrything else...the fun had to make way for the serious right...I mean afterall it is a leadership training camp right? i would rather benefit as much as i can from a leadership training camp rather than to have lots of fun but learn minimal from it...


But if u ask the same question to the Facils I believe the reply would be
ROX....
It really feels as though it was a OT(Organising Team) camp...everyone in the OT which also includes all the facils enjoyed it totally....despite all the stress and work to be done...

Anyway for us facils the camp started a day before the actual day which is the prep day....It was thursday some of the SJI ppl had their last paper Geog paper I which i dont have...so i met some of the facils + a few others like Leslie and Qingwei to go play pool at paradigm...it was officially my 1st time playing pool....and i think i played ok...so we were so into it that we played longer than we are supposed to...XD Just before we were leaving something cropped up...hwa xiong lost his wallet...so we wasted time finding his wallet...we combed the very small area for a wallet but to no avail.....poor hwa xiong...he suspects that it is a malay guy that picked up his wallet as when they were playing a malay worker was suspiciously hanging around near their table...But we had no evidence and have no choice but to leave it as it is...If i was hwa xiong i would probably go straight home as i probably have no mood to go for camp....but he didnt...so claps***

After that we went to have lunch at BK at plaza sing then we catch a bus to st.pats...We arrived late(expected) probably the latest...so anyway we lazed around at the sofa before getting down to serious work....

Slacking

So we set up the secreteriat shop(a.k.a seX shop) and did all the name tags all that stuff....printing,cutting,laminating,punching holes.....I finally got my facil tag...a coloured one...much nicer....XD We ended quite late around 9+ then a few of us( Mathias,Hwa xiong,Jared, Lennon & I) went over to gabriel house to stay over....had supper(maybe dinner) then went to swim (as usual)....all the others got out of the pool soon after they went in...Lousy...cant blame them though they are not experienced like me lennon and gabriel...veterans liao...lol...out of the blue...we started "men's talk"...lol...i m sure u dont wanna know what we talked about...XD So after that we bathe and had supper(again) before going to sleep finally at around 3am.

We woke up 2 hrs later...lol...and left for SJI...we reached damn early...the school was like empty and the staffroom was EMPTY so we went to the void deck area outside the staffroom at 2nd floor wanting to scare vehicles coming in....so whenever a vehicle came into sight.. we will all stand in a single file and waved slowly....as it was quite dark and very early and no one expected ppl to be there...we managed to scare a few ppl....teachers included(martina chan,nevina ho and a few others)....LOL...So the camp began....registration and icebreakers bla bla...had nothing to do cause i m not a group facil so basically slacked around...

Then it was time for WALK THE TALK...This year's LLTC B participants sure were lucky...its the first time ever that LLTC B has WALK THE TALK...so this time round the participants had to walk from SJI all the way to St. Pats with their LUGGAGES....lol...they have to make their own way there by foot no tpt allowed...Me The makan king(basically overall in charge of food) together with all the main secreteriat were ferried by car to St. Pats as we had to be there earlier to prepare and organise everything beforehand....But gabriel me and lennon had the privilege to grace a van....Daniel's Chua mini van....we took the back(goes without saying) and guess what...it comes with a couch...lol...one man though...and gabriel's backside graced it...so that leave me and lennon with the floor?? of the van...and guessed what we played dai di in the van on the way to St. pats...haha..damn shiok...lol...the others had to WALK under the HOT sun....while we were PLAYING dai dee on an AIR CON Van...Here are some pics on their WALK THE TALK....


So it was finally time for me to do some things...It was lunch time and being the Makan King and Queen(me and gabriel)(just to clarify i m the King XD) it was time for us to do our duty...Lunch was not so much a problem as everything was prepacked....one thing though its bento style...the covers were so "tight" that it came off with the slightest touch....and the food wasnt great at all....many were hungry and wanted more but there werent enough to go for second so poor thing...after cleaning up we had basically nothing to do until Dinner time...lol...so thats like 5 hours to burn....so we went to the seX shop to WASTE time with lennon, kenny and others....

It was then dinner time....once again time to work...so we(gab and I) arrived at the canteen to JAGA the food as well as to distribute the food....this time round it was buffet style..the one u get with all the food in large metal containers heated with a flame beneath it....we got some help from the rest of the facils....so according to instructions passed down, we served the food in big plates for each group to eat in communal style where they will take their own food from it...but it was a really really bad idea....as the greedy ones who got access to the food first took alot leaving very little for the others behind...so many were left hungry...so many came to ask for second helpings but there were so little to go around plus the facils and teachers themselves hadnt eaten...and they most probably also dont have enough....this is the time when i start to feel the stress...the participants keep coming up and it was very frustrating...and we ourselves hadnt eaten too and we had to run around ensuring everything's ok and briefing the duty group bla bla...so it was terrible...After that was slack time again...hanged out at seX shop(again) until OT meeting at night which is like 12 am...yes midnight....the meeting was quite good as it provides a time and platform to discuss the problems we encounter throughout the whole day...I brought up the issue regarding dinner and i suggested that the partcipants come up individually
and the facils would scoop the food onto their plate....in that way everybody would get a fairer share of food...and less would feel hungry....

So that night we had the whole parmenie to ourselves...with AIRCON....wahahahahaha...and showers with cubicles and heater....what more we werent rush to finish our bath....that means we could take a long time scrubbing every single part of our body and being me....I took full advantage of it...
